Qualifications

AGE EDUCATION CITIZENSHIP BACKGROUND
At least 20 years of age at the time of application and 21 years of age by police academy graduation. Graduation from U.S. high school, G.E.D. or equivalent from a U.S. institution.

A two-year or a four-year college degree from an accredited U.S. or foreign institution may be substituted for the high school requirement.
The City of Castle Hills requires that a Police Officer candidate be legally authorized to work in the United States under federal law. 

RESIDENCY
You must have Citizenship or permanent resident status to apply for or work as a CHPD Officer. This status is necessary to obtain a firearm permit
